My medical situation has been demoted to Confusing Array of Symptoms, again. Dr S put a nerve block in my ankle for diagnostic reasons, and it didn’t numb the anatomy it was supposed to. He was consternated and I was bemused, until he said a different nerve block in my ankle and an MRI with contrast injected into my toe joint are next. Hello, making an annoying reminder in my phone to bring my Klonopin to those appointments. I’ve been accused of being too complex (What’s normal complexity though??), and I wish so much it were not the case here. As an aside – Dr S said he and his wife/office manager think I’m unusual personality-wise, which I guess is better than weird. I’m trying to take it as a compliment.
I started a sock! I’m using the Magic Mirror pattern I found on Ravelry. It’s an asymmetric, moving stitches, kinda lacy concoction. It uses the Turkish Cast On, which took me about 87 (aka, seven) attempts to get right. My increases kept making holes, and I was twisting them. I blame the yarn? because I used the opposite increase, and it worked. Now that I figured it out, I want to use it for everything. I like it better than Magic Loop because somehow it’s easier for me, even though they’re basically the same.
The Toe!
I don’t know what compelled me to buy team colours yarn though
The needle is Addi Turbos Lace, and I love it. I’m knitting super tight, and the stitches are still easy to move. The joins are smooth as good whiskey. The cord is almost as curly as Boye needles’ cords, but it’s easy to squish when I can’t get it out of the way. And, very importantly, the tips are sharp!
I’ve gotten almost a row of squares further on my entrelac scarf, but the change isn’t that impressive. And now that it’s taken me two hours to get this far and it’s midnight plus, I’m sleepy.

Whatcha say?
