Pew Pew Pew

I joined a writing group.

You know what this means, don’t you?

Neither do I.

Just kidding.

I have to start reading again, one. Books are fun. I loved university, but it turned me off of books.

Two, I have to write. Have to. I’m not me without writing, but somehow I lost it.

I found a synchronous quote the other day, from William S. Burroughs:

An artist must be open to the muse. The greater the artist, the more he is open to “cosmic currents.” He has to behave as he does. If he has “the courage to be an artist,” he is committed to behave as the mood possesses him…

The price an artist pays for doing what he wants is that he has to do it.

Even when it’s hard, boring, totally ridiculous, or all complete shit.

Whoa man, this just turned from kinda philosophical into utter cheerleading with one sentence. Quick, find another beatnik!

Whatcha say?
